Congratulations to our newly Elected Board of Directors!

Any owner interested in running for a seat on the Association’s Board of Directors, must submit their notice of intent to run. A candidate may submit a single page (8 1/2 “x 11”) resume and/or statement in support of his or her candidacy. Please also provide a non-altered recent headshot, which will be used as part of the election materials.

Members will be sent a ballot and details of how to cast their vote for nominees. Those who have completed the Consent to Vote Electronically will receive theirs by email. Those not consenting to electronically voting will have their ballot delivered by USPS per normal delivery timeframes.
Zoom session to meet the candidates for the Board with introductions from each and a series of questions asked.
Online voting opens.
An in-person meet the candidate event will be conducted at the Bellalago Rec Center.

At 6pm the count will begin to determine if quorum is met. Come and watch, if quorum is not met any member can make a motion to adjourn and reconvene during November in order to reach try and reach quorum.

Per our governing documents, the election is conducted during the annual meeting the second Tuesday of November. This year, it is November 10, 2026.
The Association has five directors and all positions are open this year.
Yes. Current Directors may seek reelection if they continue to meet the qualifications established by the governing documents.
To qualify, a candidate must:
Members vote for individuals to be a Director. Immediately after the results are announced, an organizational meeting is held for the new board to determine among themselves who will be President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director at Large.
Successful Directors are willing to listen, learn, ask questions, work collaboratively, respect differing viewpoints, maintain confidentiality when required, and always act in the best interests of the entire Association.
Directors are responsible for governing the Association on behalf of all homeowners. Their responsibilities include:
Directors have a fiduciary duty to act in good faith, with reasonable care, and in the best interests of the Association.
No. Directors are volunteers elected by the membership and receive no compensation for their service.
Time commitments vary. Directors typically attend monthly Board meetings, review meeting materials, respond to communications, and may participate in workshops, committee meetings, budget discussions, and special meetings throughout the year.
No. Owners may vote before the Annual Meeting by returning their paper ballot or by submitting their electronic ballot if they have enrolled in electronic voting.
Yes. Pursuant to Section 720.317, Florida Statutes, homeowners who have provided written consent may vote electronically using the Association's secure electronic voting system. If you voted previously electronically and have not revoked your consent to vote electronically, you do not need to complete another form.
Yes. Owners may enroll in electronic voting by completing the Association's Electronic Voting Consent Form before the published deadline.
Owners who have not enrolled in electronic voting will automatically receive a paper ballot through the mail.
Section 720.305, Florida Statutes, authorizes the Board to suspend voting rights for any parcel that is more than 90 days delinquent in paying a monetary obligation due the Association. Any suspension must be approved by the Board at a properly noticed meeting before the election.
No. Once voting rights have been properly suspended, those voting interests are excluded when calculating quorum and other voting requirements.
A quorum is the minimum number of eligible voting interests that must participate in the Annual Meeting in order to conduct Association business, including the election of Directors. The quorum requirement is established by the Association's Bylaws.
If quorum is not reached, the Annual Meeting cannot conduct the election. The current Directors remain in office until their successors are elected and qualified, as provided in the Bylaws.
Ballots are tabulated in accordance with the Association's governing documents and Florida law. The Association's attorney and election volunteers assist in ensuring the election is conducted fairly and accurately.
Election results are announced after all valid ballots have been counted and become part of the official minutes of the Annual Membership Meeting.
Yes. The Association plans to host several "Meet the Candidate" opportunities so homeowners can hear directly from each candidate, ask questions, and make informed voting decisions.
Serving on the Board is one of the most meaningful ways to contribute to the future of Bellalago and Isles of Bellalago. Directors help protect property values, oversee Association finances, guide long-term planning, and make decisions that benefit the entire community. While the role requires commitment and thoughtful decision-making, it is also an opportunity to make a lasting, positive impact on the place we all call home.
Only one vote (ballot) per home. If you own multiple homes, you receive a ballot for every home owned.
Instructions for mailing your completed ballot to the Association Office:
1. Complete your ballot.
2. Enclose your ballot in an envelope marked with the word “ballot” only. In order to ensure the secrecy of your ballot, there should be no other markings on the ballot envelope.
3. Enclose the ballot envelope and your proxy in another outer envelope.
4. Address the outer envelope to:

5. Place the outer envelope in the mail as soon as possible in order to ensure it reaches the Association by November 10th, 2026. If your ballot is received after November 10th, 2026, it will not be counted. Please plan accordingly for delays in mailing.
Instructions for dropping your ballot and proxy in the Ballot Box at the HOA front Desk:
1. Complete your ballot.
2. Enclose your ballot in an envelope marked “ballot” only. In order to ensure the secrecy of your ballot, there should be no other markings on the ballot envelope.
3. Enclose the ballot envelope and your proxy in another outer envelope.
4. Bring your envelope to the HOA Front Desk at Bellalago. At the Front Desk, drop your ballot envelope in the secure Ballot Box.
5. Your ballot must be received no later than 6:00 PM November 10th, 2026. If your ballot is received late, it will not be counted.
